The hospital promotes smoke-free environment to protect the public health, develops smoke-free policy applying to all employees, contractors, suppliers, interns, job seekers, volunteers, patients, family, and visitors.
It is stipulated in the hospital smoke-free policy:

1. Smoking (including e-cigarette) is prohibited pursuant to Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.
2. Sales and advertising of tobacco are prohibited. Sponsor by tobacco companies is rejected.
3. Smoking (including e-cigarette) inside the hospital or providing smoking related devices is prohibited.

Tung's Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital offers 2.0 smoking cessation services. The content of services includes the follows:

1. Offering outpatient smoking cessation and providing smoking cessation services and health education consultancy during outpatient hours.
2. Providing smokers with health education and consultancy on smoking cession, evaluation on the degree of nicotine dependence and providing drugs for smoking cessation during hospitalization. Phone follow-up after discharge and arrangement for subsequent treatment.
3. Holding regular health education seminar on smoking cessation.
